Most of them are cultivated in Tahiti (French Polynesia) and others are produced in places like Fiji and the Cook Islands. Tahitian pearls are produced from Black Lip Oyster and are found in the size range of 9 mm to 20 mm. These pearls have various depth of color ranging form black, dark green, grey to pastel-colored. Overtone colors on Tahitian pearls are pink, blue, green, gold, silver and purple.
